Dandetiger is the first episode of Season 6. It takes its name, and a few plot elements from the novel of the same name. That novel had received a more substantial adaptation in Season 5.
Comedian Nickey Winkelman was brought back by returning director Avery Vincholm to finally portray her character the Dread Sky Lark Jaquelyn. Given the character's pivotal role in the novel, it was expected that Winkelman would become a recurring cast member on the show. Following the second day of shooting contract disputes between the estate of Sarah Galatian Moriara, the noted American Suffragette that The Dread Sky Lark Jaquelyn was based on, and the production company behind Ships of the Northern Fleet broke down. The resultant impasse between the two parties rendered the screen rights to the portrayal of the character null, and principle photography was halted for three weeks while re-writes could be done. The shot footage was purchased at auction by Elon Musk, who has vowed to release the footage as an NFT, remarking that it would be a wise investment. So far the footage has not been seen by anyone. When asked about her on again off again attempts to portray the Dread Sky Lark Jaquelyn Winkelman has remarked, "Can you hear me? I just got new blue tooth headphones, and I can't get them to work. One second, I think I have it. No. Wait. Fuck. Can you hear me? I can't hear you. Where the fuck are the buttons on these things?"
