An age before humanity had the technology and power to sail the clouds.
Humanity and other like-minded species used to lived on the surface of the planet, but after a great calamity that decimated the ecosystem it became largely uninhabitable. What few hospitable lands that were left became the first skyports when people first took to the skies in order to survive. Out of these small beacons of civilization grew the beginning of the New Nations and the Old Fleets.
This began the First Age.
